Meyer’s Minutes March 2nd Concordia Basketball

My family has been involved in the sport of basketball since 1982. Basketball is part of my childhood days, college years and a sport that I as a parent have enjoyed watching my children participate in. This time of year is not only the best as it involves March madness and high school state tournaments, but it is the start of the Junior Cardinal Basketball team.
There are several reasons as to why I love Junior Cardinal Basketball season. The first reason is that this team is coached by two alumni’s; Nate Hartman and Sam Moore (CLS class of 2010), and I love their dedication and passion that they bring to our students and Concordia school.
I also love the growth that is seen during this season. Many of the kids on the team have never played basketball before and the learning curve is fast. It is so much fun to watch them go from “I don’t get it” to “I get it”. For students to learn teamwork and new skills are life lessons and what a fun way to learn. I would highly encourage you to try to catch a game (schedule is posted on board by the office). Watching a game will bring you joy!

Go Cardinals!
