Current Openings

Part Time Spanish Teacher K-4th Grade 

Position entails:
-Create yearly and weekly lesson plans with clear objectives and methods of assessment for each grade level appropriate for their capabilities of learning and retaining the content. The objectives should include age appropriate lessons in speaking, vocabulary, listening comprehension, reading comprehension, writing, and cultural aspects of Spanish speaking countries.

-Execute plans with students
4 and 5 year olds- 30 min/week
Kindergarten- 1 hr/week split into two 30 minute sessions
1st and 2nd Grade Combined class- 1.5 hr/week split into two 45 minute sessions
3rd and 4th Grade Combined class- 1.5 hr/week split into two 45 minute sessions

-Submit monthly newsletter to office written to parents describing the news and objectives of the month for this special class

-Collaborate with classroom teacher if opportunity arises to teach Spanish words, topics, etc related to the classes’ areas of study.

-Commit to our Mission Statement, “Concordia Lutheran School is a nurturing, Christ-centered community serving all Seattle area families by providing individualized academic, spiritual and social development.”

Total Hours with 1.5 hour paid prep time: 6 hours/week – Hours mostly in the afternoon.
